The adventure of science lies in its perpetual attempt to recognise that the different aspects of nature are various expressions of the same underlying reality.


The hard problem of neuroscience - The problem of explaining how or why neurophysiological processing gives rise to phenomenal experiences, remains hard because we don't even know where to begin. We don't even agree on the definition of terms that we use to formulate the question.

This is going to remain as long as we don't start building a proxy mechanism, a lie, that can explain all the phenomena and one that can be falsified or built upon. The first step is the most crucial step. rather than trying to find the right answer, the first generation should focus on finding an approximate answer.
